well, shit sucks. a few days ago our lexus was in an accident. (everyone is fine, dont worry) Time for oppo to play guess the damage! how much do you think this repair will cost?

I did this to my M3, I think it total it was like $4k. So I’m guess around $6k USD, those headlights aren’t cheap. Mine was like $1300.

I’m jumping on the 8k bandwagon. My initial guess was 4k... but then I remembered that that’s for the pleb vehicles I drive and this is a Lexus .

I used to have one of those - are all the parts used for the repair going to be new and OEM? The lights are expensive, but you have the older ones which aren’t quite as bad. The ones with the LED accent are quite a bit more (I looked at upgrading, until I saw the price). Here’s a nice set for $1500 . Looks like you’ll need fender + bumper + passenger headlight + fog light assembly + liner + clips. Paint on two items, assembly on all. New OEM, I’d say $4300. Used and aftermarket parts, maybe $3k.

I’d add about $500 to each then. Any damage to the suspension or any supports underneath? Looks okay in the pics, but hard to tell for sure.

Friday night somebody ran a red light and hit me on the driver side in almost the same spot, just square on the wheel instead. Waiting on police report to start the insurance circus.

someone turned left at the intersection. weird thing is, they were going from the east to south, lexus was coming from south. they say we ran a red, we say they ran a red. let the insurance game begin
